Pool Pro Answers is a site based on a lack of information to the general public. As a pool service professional for over 15 years, it’s always shocking how many people still lack a basic understanding of how to care for their pool. Hollywood makes it seem like pool pros (pool boys) are dummies, burnouts, or social outcasts.
The reality is that swimming pool professionals need to be on top of their game. Not only do they do some pretty physical tasks required to do pool maintenance. They also need a basic understanding of chemistry to maintain a safe balance in the pool water and counteract potentially hazardous situations to bathers. Often the pool-pro also needs a working knowledge of other trades. Plumbing, electrical, and in this day and age automation, including wireless tech, is now in the picture.

This site, Pool Pro Answers is here to bridge that gap in understanding. Understanding of what the pool-pro does and understanding of what the homeowner does. In my blog, I’ll cover a variety of topics. I encourage my readers to chime in on what topics you would like covered. Most of the articles will be taken from the perspective of what it takes to maintain a pool safely and if a homeowner can tackle a particular task.
